Motorists traveling along South Causeway in New Smyrna Beach can anticipate single lane closures beginning Tuesday, July 25, for the eastbound right lane, and on Wednesday, July 26, for the westbound right lane from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (both days) as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) conducts a necessary inspection.

These temporary closures are essential for FDOT to assess the condition and safety of South Causeway.

Thursday, July 27, has been designated as a backup day in case of inclement weather to ensure that the inspection can proceed smoothly and without interruptions.

Motorists should plan their routes to avoid potential delays and exercise caution while driving through the area during the specified dates and times.
