	DESCRIPTION:  The Volusia County Explore Volusia and Manatee Protection Programs invite you to join Education Specialist Tommy Nordmann and Environmental Specialist Chad Murch for a paddle through Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve and learn about the Florida manatee and the Common bottlenose dolphin that inhabit Strickland Bay and Turnbull Bay. Hopefully, we&rsquo;ll spot some of these magnificent creatures along the way.  \n  **Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.  \n  ACTIVITY: A two-hour easy to moderate paddling trip.  \n  RESERVATIONS:  Required.  Unless you have a confirmation email, your are not registered.  \n  TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.  \n  AGES: Ages 12 and up are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  \n  ATTIRE: Wear clothing and shoes that can get wet.  \n  WHAT TO BRING: Watercraft (kayak, canoe, or SUP), paddle, personal flotation device (must be worn while paddling), whistle, water to drink, sunscreen, and bug spray  \n  FACILITIES: There will be a port-a-potty but no running water.  \n  For more information, contact Tommy Nordmann at  \n  tnordmann@volusia.org  \n or (386) 736-5927, ext. 12072.
