Transform386 Offers Onsite Help for Hurricane Ian Recovery Applications Throughout March

Volusia County's Transform386 staff will conduct numerous community outreach activities throughout March to assist residents in applying for the Hurricane Ian Homeowner Recovery Program. These efforts aim to help individuals apply for aid and allow those who have submitted applications but need to provide additional documentation to do so in person.

The outreach schedule includes:

  • Tuesdays from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Daytona Beach Regional Library, 105 E. Magnolia Ave.

  • Wednesdays from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle.

  • Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave.

  • Fridays, except for Good Friday on March 29, from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway.

Additionally, staff will be onsite at the second annual Black Family Wellness Expo from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at the John H. Dickerson Community Center, 308 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Daytona Beach.

The Hurricane Ian Homeowner Recovery program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery program. The initiative provides support to eligible homeowners whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Ian. This includes assisting with still-needed repairs and reimbursing those who have already completed repairs.

While an application deadline has not yet been established, impacted residents are urged to apply as soon as possible. Affected homeowners can apply online and learn more about the qualifications and benefits of the Transform386 program by visiting www.transform386.org or calling 386-943-7029.
