Welcome to Marine Central! I built this site with one thing in mind, helping all marine businesses compete in highly competitive markets.
My voyage began 20 years ago…
At age 15, I started working around boats, scraping bottom paint from barges. Later, I started detailing yachts and that’s when my passion for the marine industry grew. I worked all through college washing and waxing boats, detailing yachts, and running charters.
I noticed a trend with yacht captains and crew. They were always looking for help. They would walk the docks and ask if someone was available to help with a charter, complete a job, run a delivery or if there was a trusted marine service company nearby to fix this or repair that.
Word of mouth is key in the marine industry and with today's technology, there has to be a better way to find help, right?
As a Marketing Consultant for an AC company here in South Florida, we struggled competing on major search engines in such a highly competitive market. We had to rely on lead generation companies to find new clients. I was frustrated with the way lead generation companies operated. We received a number of cold leads every month that never converted or were incomplete. I wasn’t getting the results we needed, and I knew there had to be a better way to do business.
I started looking at the lead generation industry to learn how I could create a better experience for businesses and consumers. As I looked closer, I had a major breakthrough. All these companies were focused on Home Repairs and I couldn’t find anything for the Marine Industry.
So I changed my entire life focusing on one thing: connecting the marine industry one lead at a time.
Over the next year I created Marine Central. A free digital marketplace connecting marine service providers, yachting professionals, and everyday boaters alike. A platform where yachting professionals and recreational boaters can post service requests, anytime, anywhere. A digital directory of local businesses at your fingertips. A job board to hire crew anywhere you need them. A place where every business gets an equal opportunity to be seen by our users and a site that doesn’t hide a business's information from our users to gain an advantage.
