The City of New Smyrna Beach has scheduled a public forum for Thursday, April 14, at 5:30 p.m. in the Coronado Civic Center at 223 Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach.

The goal of the public forum is for residents and adjacent property owners to share and discuss conceptual options for proposed intersection improvements at Flagler & Peninsula Avenue.

The options to be discussed include:

  • Extension of existing Flagler Avenue eastbound left-turn lane for eastbound vehicles on Flagler Avenue turning left onto Peninsula Avenue
  • New northbound left-turn lane from Peninsula Avenue northbound to turn left onto Flagler Avenue
  • New southbound right-turn lane from Peninsula Avenue southbound turning right onto Flagler Avenue

In addition, the existing building at the intersection's northwest corner may need to be moved either to another location on the 120 Flagler Avenue property or to a new location.

For more information, contact City Engineer Kyle Fegley at kfegley@cityofnsb.com or (386)410-2811.
