The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC), located inside the Florida Department of Health at 1845 Holsonback Drive in Daytona Beach, will be closed on Friday, February 17, and Saturday, February 18, due to expected traffic congestion in the area from the upcoming races this weekend. The center is closed on Sundays and will reopen on Monday, February 20, at 9 a.m.

While the deadline to apply for FEMA assistance and physical property damage loan through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has passed, residents can still visit the DRC to provide additional documentation, receive case updates and appeal a notice of denial.

The deadline to apply for an economic injury loan through the SBA for Hurricanes Ian and Nicole has not passed for businesses and most private nonprofit organizations. The deadline for submitting a loan application for economic loss from Hurricane Ian is Thursday, June 29, and Wednesday, September 13, for Hurricane Nicole.

Businesses and private nonprofit organizations can apply for an SBA economic injury loan at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/ela/s/ or by visiting the DRC.

For more information about SBA loans, call 800-659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
