Both New Smyrna Beach Middle School and New Smyrna Beach High School lockdowns have been lifted.

Both New Smyrna Beach Middle School, located at 1200 S Myrtle Avenue, and New Smyrna Beach High School, located at 1015 10th Street in New Smyrna Beach, were placed under lockdown Thursday.
The New Smyrna Beach Police Department, Volusia County Sheriff Deputies, and Volusia County School District staff were on the scene investigating a possible threat made on social media.
The lockdowns have been lifted at this time.
